Yes, we provide two screws with the fox door knocker that can be used to fix it to your door. The slotted head screws provided match the brass finish of the fox door knocker and are not visible once fitted to your door.

Will this brass door knocker age over time?

This fox door knocker is manufactured from solid brass and features an unlacquered finish, meaning that over time this door knocker will age naturally and take on a duller finish. To maintain this door knocker's polished finish, we recommend that every 1 to 2 months you clean it using suitable brass polish, for example, Brasso. If you prefer a duller antique finish, simply clean this door knocker every 3-6 months.

Is this door knocker suitable for a UPVC or composite door?

Yes, our brass fox door knocker can be fitted to composite UPVC doors as well as wooden doors. However, we recommend that you check with the door manufacturer as fitting a door knocker may void the warranty.

Can I replace my existing door knocker with this design?

Yes you can! All door knockers can be removed from a door, simply unscrew or unbolt to remove. Depending upon your door material, you'll then need to fill in the holes with a suitable filler. Once filled, simply fit your new bee door knocker and ensure the new holes aren't too close to the old holes.
